About the FIO

The Falkin Investing Organization was established in December of 2005. Founded by Blain Reinkensmeyer and Mark Zimmer, the core mission was to help spread free financial education worldwide. Through free simulator contests, giveaways, and private lessons the mission took on a life of its own, and in October of 2007 the Organization was declared a 501c (3) tax-exempt nonprofit organization by the United States Internal Revenue Service.

Today the Organization is fully sustained by donations and serves its tax-exempt purpose through its numerous financial programs designed to help any and all investors succeed.

Mark ZimmerMark Zimmer is a full time entrepreneur, whose ventures range from recycling to real estate. Mark's business experience began at a young age when he worked with his family to raise pumpkins and gords, and corn to sell at a road side stand and local stores. Shortly there after, Mark became involved with residential construction which eventually led to his current involvement in real estate development and management. At the age of 16, he organized a recycling company which gave communities the ability to recycle their waste paper year round for free. This business eventually became Treecycle, which he still runs today. Throughout his business experience and education, Mark has consistently seen numerous individuals who lacked either the know-how or the motivation to make simple financial decisions. His co-founding of the FIO has been a direct result of his desire to curb this trend. Mark has a keen interest in all aspects of business, marketing, and finance, and views each venture as an opportunity to better educate himself.
